Malory Hartman Lighting Design

Malory Hartman (she/they) is a lighting designer for theatre, opera, and dance.  She imagines lighting as a musical instrument, with the power to build rhythm and resonance on stage.  She brings a passion for open collaboration and mentorship to every project.

Malory is an experienced programmer and is a trainer for ETC, leading classes in EOS console programming for all levels of experience.  She is also a Hog 4 trainer for AKT 3 Company across the Mid-Atlantic region.

Malory also serves as Lighting Supervisor for Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, South Carolina.

Malory is based in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia area.  She received her B.A. in Theatre from the University of Maryland, College Park.
